Madinah Travel Guide

Welcome to Madinah - City of the Prophet (PBUH)

Madinah Munawwarah (enlightened city) is the most loved city by every Muslim. It is more than a destination; it is a place of peace, faith, and deep spiritual connection. It can also be said that visiting Madinah is one of the most significant experiences in a lifetime to have as a form of peaceful replacement to that of worldly noise, making the soul at home when you have arrived there.

Spiritual Status of Madinah in Islam

Madinah is the city in which Allah (SWT) chose as the final resting place for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and where Islam was first established and where it grew rapidly. The rewards of praying in Masjid an-Nabawi are many, and not being in Madinah provides one with a sense of awesomeness and calm that will cause the Pilgrim to remember forever.

A Brief History of Madinah Munawwarah

Formerly known as Yathrib, Madinah became the central point of the religion of Islam after the Prophet (PBUH) migrated there from Makkah during the Hijrah. Here brotherhood existed between the Muhajirun (Emigrants) and Ansar (Helpers) creating governance based on Islam as well as the receiving of many Quran Revelations. Madinah remains to this day as a sign of brotherhood, mercy, and faith.
